About our Founders
Sapna Bafna (Founder & Creative Director)
Sapna Bafna started this business in 2001 with no formal design training, no investor backing, and no safety net. What she had was a deep love for jewellery, an eye sharpened by years of living among Rajasthan’s finest craft traditions, and a refusal to give up—even when the odds were stacked against her.
In the early years, she did everything herself. She sourced the stones, learning to tell genuine semi-precious stones from imitations. She worked directly with Jodhpur’s master artisans, understanding their techniques from the inside out. She hand-selected every piece, packed every order, and built the business one relationship at a time. There was no shortcut she was willing to take.
More than two decades later, that hands-on dedication has never left her. Sapna still personally oversees every new collection. She still holds each piece before it is listed—checking the weight, the finish, the way the stone catches light. It is this relentless attention to detail that has made Jewels by Sapna one of Rajasthan’s most trusted names.
Today, she offers live video shopping sessions so customers can experience the same warmth and guidance they would sitting across from her in her Jodhpur studio. Because for Sapna, every order is still personal.

When COVID-19 brought the world to a standstill, Rishi returned home—not out of compulsion, but out of conviction. He recognised that the foundation Sapna had built was not just a jewellery business. It was a legacy worth protecting and growing.
Stepping in as Co-Founder, Rishi made it his mission to amplify what Sapna had already made extraordinary. He channelled his knowledge of e-commerce, digital marketing, and business strategy into expanding Jewels by Sapna’s presence online—giving her handcrafted creations the digital stage they deserved.
